Happy birthday Nathan!

We went to the Houston Zoo on Monday for Nathan's birthday and had a blast. I didn't realize how big the zoo was before I looked at the map, but we were able to see the majority of it. We were there from 10 am until about 3 (a very long day especially for the boys and Mommy). Boy was I sore by the end, but it was well worth it. View a slideshow of our trip at

We blew out his candles and opened most of his presents the night before at our house before we went to stay with my cousin Adam's family down in Houston. After many hours of work I finished my own maternity shirt (now that I'm in my third trimester). I had to show it off since I'm very proud that I was actually able to make something that looks good and fits. So thank you to all those who contributed to my birthday money so that I could buy myself a new sewing machine. Also a big thanks to my little family who put up with me while I was making it!

My big helper!

We were pleasantly surprised this morning to find that Aaron had changed Nathan's diaper (a stinky one nonetheless) and had gotten him all dressed for the day! I can't believe how big and responsible Aaron is getting! I was very proud of him for being such a big helper and he got two magnets on his chart for being such a big help. (When he fills it up he gets special Mommy-Aaron time).
Oh, and yesterday he counted all the way to 120! What a smart boy.
