The power of hugs

Aaron has gotten really upset two times today, and both times was calmed by his sweet brother Nathan, who came up and gave him big hugs. How sweeet!

My awesome boys

As a mother, I have the right to brag about my cute boys.
First of all, I wanted to tell everyone about Nathan singing. (I'll try to figure out how to get the video that I took of him on here sometime, but for now I'll just talk about it) So, we always sing the Star Wars theme when we are brushing Aaron's teeth to keep him opening his mouth. This has been going on for awhile, but just recently Nathan has started singing it too. It's so cute because he just goes around randomly singing the Star Wars theme.
Oh, and today Aaron took out a peice of candy (which he hadn't asked for) and was opening it when I turned around. "What are you doing? I didn't say you could have one" I asked with a stern voice. He replied, "I was getting it for you Mommy!" Although, I'm pretty sure this was not his original motivation, it melted me and I let him have a peice also. Although it is tough at times, I couldn't imagine a better job than staying home with my two adorable and smart boys. All the hugs, kisses and I love you's make it all soooo worth it.
Oh, I also wanted to mention that Aaron helped me make Valentine's for some of his friends on Wednesday night. I cut out the hearts and he decorated them. He was so excited about it and did a really good job at taping the candy on and decorating the hearts. It also amazes me that he recognized which Valentine was his when he woke up Valentine's Day morning because he saw his name on it. Smart boy! He is already learning the sounds of letters and he can sound out simple words (with a little help from Mommy).
Nathan is getting so big and it amazes me how much he understands and can say already. He already speaks in 2-3 word sentences sometimes, such as "I an at" (I want that) and "Mommy, I an Daddy" (Mommy, I want Daddy or Daddy, I want Mommy) He also gives really cute hugs and kisses. Last Friday night we were watching some friends kids including a six month old baby and he was so adorable with her. He squated down and said "hi" and then kept on patting her softly on the back and playing with her for awhile. I was trying to get it on the camcorder, but I had to put batteries in and remember how to work it and by the time I had done that, they weren't doing it anymore.

Life of a mother!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a mom, but like all mothers out there know, some days are really crazy! Man, was today one of those days. Nathan figured out how to climb up onto the table and did so about 10-15 times, scaring me to death all of those times. Then, there was a time that Aaron went into the bathroom and Nathan followed him. I didn't think much of it until a few minutes later when they were still in there. I went in there to find that they had put a whole roll of toilet paper into the toilet. Luckily, they had not flushed it, but I had to fish it out of the toilet so that it wouldn't get clogged. YUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK! Oh, and then when I was helping Aaron staighten up his room, Nathan got the Kix out and poured them all over the living room floor. Talk about a tiring day!

We're joining the crowd!

Ok, so I've finally decided to make a blog. I have enjoyed looking at all of my friends blogs and thought it would be a fun way for you all to keep up with what is happening in our life, just as long as I keep it up:) Enjoy!
