Black Friday park day!

While I did make a quick trip to Joannes this morning to get a new Christmas tree (which was $39 for a 7 ft prelit tree!) we spent most of the day just playing together.  While it was crowded at the stores, we went to the park.  Then we put up our Christmas tree and other decorations!  Had a wonderful day!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Johansons!

Our plans changed at the last minute because David and Rachelle were sick, but I was able to pull together a yummy meal and we had an enjoyable time together.  We are so grateful for our many rich blessings and all the amazing friends and family we have!

20 pound victory

My hubby bought me this awesome popcorn Popper to celebrate me reaching 20 pounds lost!  He also wanted to cut my hair and I let him.  I haven't had time to style it yet but I think he did a good job!

Fun at the park!

And in case you're wondering, it is still nice enough weather to wear shorts.  ;)

Thanksgiving decorations

For family home evening tonight we made this fun Turkey together and talked about all the many things we are grateful for!  We traced and cut out each of our hands and put 1 thing we are grateful for on each finger.

An ExtraOrdinary October!

I know I said I would start doing this more regularly and it's been months, but I really am hoping to start updating it at least once a month.
We had a busy, but fabulous October!  Octobers are always fun with Nathan's birthday and Halloween, but this October we got to go on a cruise to the Bahamas for my youngest sister's wedding!  We met my brother Daniel at the Houston Airport to fly to Florida on October 6th!  It was so great to see him and the boys loved sitting by him on the plane ride.  We arrived late and before my parents and Deborah, but we got to see them in the morning.  Then we boarded our cruise ship (The Majesty of the Seas)!  We had some changes in itinerary because of bad weather, but we had a blast and really enjoyed being able to be together with all of my family and share Linda and Cedrick's special day with them!  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the cruise and wedding (in no particular order):
Enjoying the ride!

Our handsome ring bearers (a.k.a. Bling Security)

What you don't see in this picture is the cheesecake that I was sharing with him.  Who wouldn't be happy about that?!

My gorgeous sisters!

Grandma's girl

Aaron joined the kids group for a pirate party while we ate dinner.  ( He ate dinner earlier)  Afterwards he joined us for dessert.

Nathan watching the tugboat that helped us dock at Nassau!

The baby/toddler play group

My sister looked so beautiful that Cedrick could not wait for her to get down the aisle with Dad!

Getting ready for the wedding!

Rachelle was really nervous with all the new people, but she looked so adorable in her princess dress.

The bridal party walking from the cruise ship to meet the limo in Nassau!

Me and the love of my life!

Aaron and Nathan fulfilling their role!

The bride and bridesmaids!

In the limo!  If you notice Rachelle is wearing her head lei in the car, but she took it off right before we were getting out and refused to put anything in her hair.  Oh well, she was beautiful anyways!

Mr. and Mrs. Gousse!

Our whole family together!
As you can see, it was a beautiful wedding!  We are so happy for my incredible sister and my awesome new brother in law!

A couple days after we got back we celebrated Nathan's 5th birthday (I can not believe he is that old already!) as a family on his birthday (the 13th), and then had his birthday party a week and a half later (because he got sick).

Halloween is always fun and this year was no exception!  Here are the kids cute costumes.  Aaron-Mr. Incredible, Nathan-Mike Wazowski (Monsters, Inc), Rachelle- Minnie Mouse, and David-Sully (Monster's inc) Oh, and I also have to mention that I made the eye for Nathan's costume out of paper machete and loved how it turned out!  Paper machete is so fun!  I made Nathan's pinata as well!
